One of my most enjoyable past times is visiting my mother in Florida and visiting a bird sanctuary and taking pictures early in the morning
The whole time I lived in Georgia I kept meaning to spend some time in Florida at a bird sanctuary but alas never made it. Good detail here - which lens are you using the 100-400 IS ?

This picture was shot with a Canon 70-200 IS lens with a 2x Converter.

70-200 IS lens is one of my favorites! I keep meaning to buy the 2x but have not yet. I was also thinking of getting some extension tubes to use it for macro (maybe add a 77mm close-up filter).
